Economic state of Dota 2
Team Secret is in the center of the rumors after a disappointing result at the International. ‘Puppey’ is supposed to hold on to the idea and possibly bring his old NaVi team colleague ‘Dendi’ to Secret. ‘Zai’ will probably pause for a year and ‘s4’ could pull it back to Alliance. The German Kuro KuroKy Salehi Takhasomi, on the other hand, is supposed to have found another German all-star team again – an idea that has been around for years in the Dota 2 scene. How likely would such a constellation be, would it be successful and who would be there at all?
On the one hand there are comparatively few German players on a top level. ‘KuroKy’ is currently spearhead when it comes to success and prize money. With both Na’Vi and Secret, he was able to reap a lot of fame. Behind him is Dominik ‘Black ^’ Reitmeier, who especially achieved with Vici Gaming his high form. Adrian ‘FATA-‘ Trinks, as opposed to ‘Black ^’, also participated as a player in this year’s international and has been playing for almost a year at Cloud 9, which is now surprisingly dissolving. After Kai ‘H4nn1’ Hanbückers announced his resignation as a player at the beginning of the year, the field of the potential German players again a bit. In the second row are Max ‘qojqva’ Bröcker, who last played with ‘Black ^’ at mousesports and Pascal ‘paS’ Lohmeier.
Although the positions of the individual players would allow for a meaningful combination, other problems stand in the way. ‘Black ^’ is a carry, which is difficult to harmonize with another farmintensive player on the second position. In the last mousesports trial with ‘qojqva’ this project failed as expected. In addition, it is very likely that Reitmeier will remain in Korea for the time being.
So KuroKy could and would have to go back to Carry, which he has already successfully succeeded, but a clear fifth position would be missing. Because of his experience, ‘FATA-‘ should definitely be on the two and ‘qojqva’ should return to its classic third position. ‘PaS’, on the other hand, is relatively flexible – he also played the five in the mousesports squad at that time and switched to the one for his current team Goomba Gaming.
Ultimately, however, a player would be missing, since the return of ‘H4nn1‘ is also more than unlikely. This might be the chance for a young talent from Germany. Whether the players, who have played in this or a similar constellation several times under the German mousesports banner, can then also set up a functioning team is unclear. On paper, it could work.
